Jimmy Dale “Jim” Pressley, age 88, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Born in Morristown, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Clayton Pressley and Minnie Bale Pressley. Jim’s life was one of devotion to family, faith, and hard work, and his passing leaves a legacy of love and resilience that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy “Dot” York Pressley, three sisters, and five brothers. His marriage to Dot was a true partnership, built on love, loyalty, and shared values. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and hospitality, where family and friends were always welcome. Their union was a shining example of commitment and enduring love.
A man of strong character, Jim dedicated his life to providing for his family and supporting his community. He was known for his integrity, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He also leaves behind nephews, including Mike Allen of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Jerry York and his wife Nancy, along with many extended family members who will continue to honor his memory.
